Chris Hemsworth, Tessa Thompson and Rebecca Ferguson make headline in the return of the ‘Men in Black‘ franchise, which is supported by Kunal Nanjiani, Liam Neeson, and Emma Thompson reprising her role from previous sequels.
It took seven years since the previous film in the franchise, and it’s evident that the years have taken their toll. With Hemsworth and Thompson, director Gray had starred with a good track record and proven chemistry. But by saddling them with a complex screenplay, and special effects that have all been done and seen before, the film is pretty much like any other MIB film. Except it comes almost a decade later.
In MIB International, agents H and M (Hemsworth and Thompson) find the fate of Planet Earth in their hands following a series of alien attacks. And that’s pretty much it; there is little to savour here. Best the worst part is about portraying villians, who are uninspired and poorly sketched in the movie, enough for one to not even notice their superpowers.
