Overview
Mirzapur is an Indian crime thriller web series on Amazon Prime Video which is jointly produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar under the banner of Excel Entertainment. This series is primarily shot in Mirzapur, with some shots in Jaunpur, Azamgarh, Ghazipur, Lucknow and Gorakhpur. The series will be revolved around drugs, guns and lawlessness. It depicts the dominance, governance and rule of mafia dons, gangsters and the rivalry, crime prevailing in the Purvanchal region of Uttar Pradesh. The season 1 will consists of 9 episodes in total.
This series will be a third fiction Indian Original of Amazon Prime Video’s after Inside Edge and Breathe. Star Casts of this series are Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Vikrant Massey, Shweta Tripathi, Shriya Pilgaonkar, Rasika Dugal, Harshita Gaur, Divyendu Sharma and Kulbhushan Kharbanda.

After seeing the trailer it seems to be a gangster drama, which portrays the underworld as a background with rural settings. Ali Fazal is seen in trailer of playing the character of a gangster who adapts local language and the high tone of voice. Shweta Tripathi seems to play role of a younger sister who spend most of her time with books. She seems as a confident, honest, and straight-forward girl from the city Mirzapur, where she believes in living & doing things in her own way.
